Electroplating power supply is a direct current equipment that converts AC power into
different voltages, frequencies, and waveforms. The main application of "rectification"
technology in thyristor rectifiers is to apply both "rectification" technology and "inverter"
technology in high-frequency switching power supplies. The electroplating power
supply mainly consists of a main circuit and a control circuit.
The main circuit mainly includes the main transformer, power rectifier devices,
and some detection and protection devices. The main transformer in the electroplating
power supply is used to reduce the AC power supply voltage to the voltage value
required by the electroplating process. The power frequency (50Hz) transformer is
used in the thyristor rectifier, and the high-frequency (10-50kHz) transformer is
used in the high-frequency switching power supply. The detection device includes
a voltmeter, current transformer, etc. The protection device is mainly used for
overcurrent protection of power rectifier devices.
The control circuit mainly includes trigger control circuits for thyristors or IGBTs,
soft start circuits for power supplies, overcurrent and overvoltage protection circuits,
and phase loss protection circuits for power supplies.
